CeBIT 2006: IDENTEC SOLUTIONS Introduces the Centerpiece of its new Generation of RFID Readers

Efficiency and economical applications of active RFID technology are the focus of this exhibition. Lustenau, Austria and Kelowna, Canada, March 6, 2006 — IDENTEC SOLUTIONS, a leading global supplier of long-range RFID-based asset management solutions, will be exhibiting at the CeBIT in Hannover again this year. The company from Lustenau, Austria, will demonstrate its 100-meter Intelligent Long Range (ILR) RFID System at Hall 6, Booth H52. For the first time, a section of the event focuses specifically on „Auto ID/ RFID“. In this designated area, CeBIT visitors will be treated to sample applications, solution scenarios, products and trends, as well as diversification potentials of RFID technology. Through concrete examples of successfully implemented applications, IDENTEC SOLUTIONS’ specific goal at this exhibition is to convince protential customers of the economical applications of RFID systems.

Product Highlights from IDENTEC SOLUTIONS at CeBIT 2006:
i-HUB:
IDENTEC SOLUTIONS will be revealing the heart of its new generation of readers: the i-HUB. Up to eight read/write modules can be connected to this RFID hub and operated concurrently. A particular innovation of this i-HUB is that it supports reader modules for both active and passive EPC-compatible tags. The i-HUB bundles data with help from its LINUX-based software platform, processes the data and allows its easy integration into existing host systems via a multitude of interfaces.

i-CARD CF:
Another highlight is the i-CARD CF. In light of the fact that mobile RFID read/write devices are becoming increasingly smaller in size, IDENTEC SOLUTIONS has transferred its proven i-CARD reader technology to a compact flash format, without compromising its read range. This makes the i-CARD CF the world’s first read/write device in compact flash format which can achieve a range of up to 100 meters (300 ft). The device is compatible with tags from IDENTEC SOLUTIONS' i-Q and i-B tag series and is easily integrated into CF card slots in laptops, handhelds and other mobile devices. As a result, handheld device users obtain real-time information about their assets over larger distances.
