In July 2017, Microsoft, along with Adobe and their industry technology partners (including Apple, Facebook, Google and Mozilla), announced that Adobe Flash Player will no longer be supported after December 2020. The decision to end support for Flash Player was made by Adobe due to the diminished usage of the technology and the availability of better, more secure options such as HTML5, WebGL, and WebAssembly.
Steps IDENTEC SOLUTIONS has taken:
Due to this announcement from Adobe IDENTEC SOLUTIONS had to make some changes for the user interface of i-SHARE, which in the past required Adobe Flash in web browsers for users to access it.
The new solution (called i-SHARE AIR) is based on Adobe Air which is available for everyone to download from Adobe’s homepage, both as offline and online installer.
What you need to do:
i-SHARE Air has to be installed on all clients that requires access to the user interface of i-SHARE, and can be downloaded below.
The download provides a .ZIP file which contains two (2) files, an installation guide and the i-SHARE Installation Package configuration file.
After downloading please first make sure to follow the instructions in the installation guide properly so your system will be up to date, and i-SHARE continues to be accessible after December 2020.
